MERSING CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. (MCE), is a specialist in trenchless construction technology, with a substantial investment in modern and hitech Micro-tunnelling and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) equipment. Others activities include infrastructure and drainage works such as river diversion, construction of box culverts and line drain.
The company which was set up in 1980, strives to venture in specialist form of tunnelling and boring techniques and is confident that MCE would be able to explore the market. Since 1980, it has pioneered in Malaysia’s trenchless technology with the first jacking set until it brought in the 1st Malaysian own HDD rig machine—Flowmole in 1995.
On 12th Jan. 1995, MCE completed its 1st HDD crossing in Malaysia for installing an 18” gas steel pipeline achieving a satisfactory success of quality work and progress. MCE had since then completed thousands of crossings for utilities. With a foresight and well understanding of the potentials and demands of HDD work in Asian market, MCE has continued to be actively involved in HDD activities for the past 6 years. MCE has built up a fleet of 18 nos. of HDD rig machine with the pullback capacity ranging from 12T to 380T. MCE currently owns the biggest HDD rig in Asia, with 270 T pullback capacity. |
